Crash: Trans Air Congo AN12 at Pointe-Noire on Mar 21st 2011, impacted houses on landing

A Trans Air Congo Antonov AN-12, freight flight from Brazzaville to Pointe Noire (Congo) with 4 crew, impacted buildings in a residential area while on approach to Pointe Noire's runway 17 after having been cleared to land by the control tower. The airplane burst into flames, all on board perished, 17 bodies and 15 injured have been recovered from the crash site.
Congo's National Agency of Civil Aviation reported the airplane had been cleared to land. There is currently no information about the fate of the occupants and people on the ground available.
Russia's Embassy in Congo reported all 4 Russian crew on board of the AN-12 were killed in the crash. The Embassy added, that the crew attempted an emergency landing on the sea but could not reach the sea anymore and came down in a densely populated neighbourhood of Pointe Noire.
Local Police reported 14 bodies have been recovered from the crash site so far. Later medical services reported 17 bodies and 15 injured have been recovered so far.
According to ATDB Trans Air Cargo has only one AN-12 remaining: TN-AGK.
No Metars are available,the local weather station reported thunderstorms in the morning that cleared up by 07:00L, subsequently unrestricted visibility, reducing humidity at 30-31 degrees C and QNH dropping from 1011 to 1007 hPa, steady winds from east to southwest between 4 and 12 knots.
