New transcontinental flights will operate alongside United routes from Newark, New Jersey. Chicago-based United Airlines will resume service at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in February 2021, marking a return to the New York market's busiest airport for the first time in five years. The carrier announced plans to launch transcontinental service on two nonstop round-trips from JFK to Los Angeles Airport (LAX) and San Francisco International (SFO) beginning Feb. 1, 2021.
