April 29, 2020 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has reportedly taken into account the possibility that the coronavirus crisis and the separate financial backings from both the French and Dutch governments for Air France and KLM could lead to the deterioration of the Air France-KLM merger (Financieele Dagblad, 27-Apr-2020).
