International Airlines Group (IAG) CEO Willie Walsh said the carrier has "the ambition to establish an immunised joint venture with LATAM similar to the one we already have with American Airlines (AA) on the north Atlantic" (Buying Business Travel, 09-Nov-2013). Mr Walsh said the Group's relationship with LATAM "is principally between Iberia and LAN Airlines" and that this relationship would be "strengthening" and also extended to TAM Airlines and British Airways (BA). As previously reported by CAPA, TAM leaves Star Alliance to join oneworld on 31-Mar-2014, where it will join AA, BA, Iberia and LAN.
