United Airlines B737-700 Slide Deployment in Flight

Boeing 737-700 aircraft on it's way from Chicago to Orange County, California made an emergency landing on Sunday night at 10.36pm in Wichita, Kansas.

The FAA confirmed that the emergency slides deployed in mid-flight at an altitude of 38,000 feet. In 12 minutes, the plane dropped to 11,000 ft. due to a loss in cabin pressure. The United Airlines pilots managed for the plane to land it safely in Wichita. After one hour on the ground in Wichita all Passengers were taken off the aircraft.

United Airlines released a statement saying 96 passengers and five crew members were on board the Boeing 737-700. All passengers were seated at the time the slide deployed. No one was hurt.

The flight segment from Wichita to Orange County was cancelled.
