SKY Airline expects the demand to commence returning in 3Q2020

SKY Airline (Chile) president Holger Paulmann commented on the carrier’s resumption of scheduled operations, stating: “We are operating less than 10% of what we had planned originally” (Diario Financiero, 27-May-2020). He stated resumption of international demand will be even slower than domestic as countries are restricting travels, adding: “Chile, Peru and Brazil have the highest COVID-19 infection rates and other countries will not want to open their skies to these countries”. Mr Paulmann expects the reactivation of Chile‘s aviation industry to commence in 3Q2020.
