A345_Leadership Posted July 17, 2020 Share Posted July 17, 2020 JetSMART postpones plans for Brazilian subsidiary; seeks certification to operate in Peru’s domestic market July 17, 2020 JetSMART CEO Estuardo Ortiz commented on previously announced plans to launch a domestic subsidiary in Brazil, stating that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those plans have been postponed (El Mercurio, 07-Jul-2020). He added the priority is to launch a domestic subsidiary in Peru and the carrier has now commenced the regulatory process to handle domestic operations in the country. JetSMART‘s Peruvian subsidiary is expected to commence operating in six to nine months.
