Eu acho que a LH levará a ITA, Alitalia, whatever que seja... os alemães devem estar fazendo diversas salvaguardas para proteger seu investimento e clausúlas, vai saber que o retorno da marca Alitalia não seja ideia deles?

Acho que foi na Reuters, mas uma das ideias é transformar FCO em hub do Lufthansa Group para África, 

Teoricamente faz todo sentido a LH, BA, DL ou qualquer uma investir na AZ/ITA, mas na prática é diferente.

Shipping group MSC, Lufthansa offer to buy Alitalia successor

ROME, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Swiss-based shipping group MSC and German carrier Lufthansa (LHAG.DE) want to buy the majority of Alitalia successor ITA Airways and have asked for an exclusivity period of 90 days to study the deal, MSC and ITA said on Monday.

The state-owned airline, which began flying in October last year, is looking for an equity partner and has started informal talks with some potential suitors, in Europe and overseas, its chairman said this month.

MSC said the interest in ITA stemmed from "the possibility of activating positive synergies ... both in the cargo and the passenger sector".

If Italian government gives its green light, the board of ITA Airways will examine details of the expression of interest at a future meeting and decide to enter exclusive talks with the two partners, a source close to the matter said.

A board meeting to approve ITA business plan is scheduled for Jan. 31.

MSC said it and Lufthansa will decide their respective involvement in the deal after studying financial data of the Italian airline.

Last week, ITA Chairman Alfredo Altavilla said the carrier posted a negative operating result of 170 million euros last year. Revenue were less than expected at 86 million euros, while the carrier could count on more than 400 million euros in cash coming from Italian tax payers.

In a first reaction from workers, flight attendants and pilots union FNTA said the interest of MSC and Lufthansa was positive news for the future of the small carrier.

They are "two extremely solid partners who could guarantee future growth to ITA with an excellent positioning at international level," FNTA said in a statement.

Two sources told Reuters on Sunday that Lufthansa was in talks to buy 40% in ITA Airways.

In past decades troubled airline Alitalia tried but failed to a clinch successful alliance with Air France and, more recently, with Arab Emirates' Ethiad.

Italy is an important market for Lufthansa and it is reasonable for the German company to try to secure commercial options in the country, analysts said. However a tie-up could entail risks.

"Italy is perhaps the most difficult market in Europe to make money: there are many fast train connections on the mainland and air traffic to the islands, like short-haul flights in Europe, is dominated by low-cost airlines, particularly Ryanair (RYA.I) and Wizz (WIZZ.L)," Ruxandra Haradau-Doser, analyst at Kepler Cheuvreux told Reuters.

Se o tom do azul fosse mais escuro, poderia ficar mais aceitável.

Se depender dos primeiros meses e do Livery deste A332 vai ser difícil.

Italy’s new flag carrier ITA Airways is to launch flights between London City airport and Milan Linate from March 28.

The service will operate three times daily on weekdays, daily on Saturdays and twice daily on Sundays, for a total of 36 round-trip flights per week.

The London-bound services will depart Milan at 0700, 1220 and 1740, with the return legs leaving at 0825, 1345 and 1905.

ITA will wet lease two Embraer E190 jets from German Airways to operate the new route, with the aircraft livery sporting “Operated by ITA Airways”. The Embraer jets will offer a two-class economy and Superior (short-haul business class) configuration.

The carrier said that the agreement with German Airways would also allow it to offer Embraer services from Milan Linate to Luxembourg and Geneva.

The airline said that “These are airports and destinations where profitability and operating conditions are guaranteed by smaller aircrafts, which fully explains the choice for the German carrier’s Embraer E190, an aircraft not currently available in the ITA Airways fleet”.

The new route follows British Airways’ decision to switch its London City-Milan flights from Linate airport to Malpensa for this summer.

Interior novo só nos 339 que virão de fábrica.

Sim, mas as empresas normalmente aproveitam pra fazer um retrofit do interior quando a aeronave fica parada tanto tempo e voltará a voar, ainda mais essa, que tb mudou de empresa aérea e repintura

AZ não tem $$$ pra retrofits.

Mas não é AZ , é uma nova empresa e privada, inclusive comprar/arrendar A350 não é pra empresa sem recursos, imagino que teriam optado por aeronaves com custo de aquisição/leasings mais baratos se não pudessem adquirir os A350

AZ é o código IATA da ITA, ICAO ITY. Os 359 são ex-Hainan Group também não devem retrofitar.

Luckert, a ITA é uma piada. Se apresenta como nova, mas usa a estrutura da AZA quando é conveniente. A ITA só foi uma forma da AZA receber aporte do Estado e limpar o balanço para novas compras.
