Fundo de investimento Attestor Capital adquiriu 51% da companhia aérea alemã Condor

E vai investir cerca de 200 milhões em capital e mais 250 milhões na modernização da sua frota de longo curso.

Os restantes 49% da companhia pertencem a um fundo que representa o Governo Federal da Alemanha e o estado de Hesse, sendo que a Attestor fica com opção de compra desta participação.

 

De acordo com a imprensa internacional, a companhia recebeu ajuda federal e estatal, através de um empréstimo intercalar no valor de 380 milhões de euros, quando o Thomas Cook Group, ao qual pertencia, abriu falência.

 

A companhia aérea especializada em voos de turismo também recebeu ajuda através de um fundo de apoio às consequências da pandemia, no valor de 550 milhões de euros, dos quais cerca de metade foi utilizada para pagar o empréstimo anterior.

To mark Canada's border opening, Germany's most popular leisure airline will once again be taking travelers to Toronto in Ontario and Halifax in Nova Scotia from September 7, 2021. From Frankfurt, Condor will fly to Toronto on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and to Halifax on Mondays and Thursdays. From there, guests can conveniently reach ten other destinations in Canada with Condor partner WestJet. Travel with Condor can be booked with all German tour operators and at travel agencies, and flight tickets can be booked as usual at www.condor.com and by phone.

"Our guests have waited a long time to be able to travel across the big pond to North America again. Now Canada has invited all North America fans who are fully vaccinated to join them again. Within a few hours, we received so many requests for Condor flights that we decided at short notice to offer five connections per week from Frankfurt to Canada starting in September," explains Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor.

Canada will open its borders to travelers from Europe on September 7, 2021, who have received full immunization at least 14 days prior to their arrival.

Eu acho temerário ela manter o foco no leisure, poderia explorar o mercado regular. Digo isso porque veja que aconteceu com as charteiras britânicas. 

Mercado alemão é rico, mas novas formas de viagens (LCC, agências online, etc.) fazem que o produto charter (ou leisure) fica restrito.

A345, isso mesmo se considerarmos  que o pós-Covid aponta para uma retomada puxada pelo leisure?

Sim, o leisure é um mercado com baixos retornos e se a empresa não ter uma capacidade de expandir/diminuir frota e estrutura, fica muito a mercê.

No médio prazo irá retornar as viagens corporativas e, mesmo que demorem um pouco para atingir níveis de 2019, a rentabilidade é bem superior.
